Synthetic Dura-Thatch for Tiki Huts and Bars

Introducing Dura-Thatch™

Do you currently own a Tiki Hut?  Native craftsmanship is a beautiful thing, each structure a unique work of art.  Unfortunately, working with natural materials does have it's drawbacks.  Natural thatch structures shed fibers constantly.  From the moment you begin to enjoy your natural thatch structure, it is beginning to decompose. An estimated life of three to five years (or the first big wind storm) is about what you can expect before you need to repair or re-thatch the entire structure.

Turn This

Now there is an alternative to natural thatch.  You can choose to break the re-thatch every five years cycle.  Our Dura-Thatch™ product has the look and feel of natural thatch while the space-age polymers from which it is manufactured make it almost indestructible.  Our synthetic thatch is warranted for 20 years against fading, loss of texture and waterproofing.  The material can be nailed or screwed to wooden frames, such as a native hut.  It can also be applied over wood sheathing, corrugated metal, finished siding or asphalt shingles.  Anyplace you wish to combine the look of a natural thatch structure with the confidence of a long term guarantee, you can apply our authentic yet durable plastic thatch.

Into This

We offer two types of Synthetic Thatch:

Bora Bora is used for roof structures where the thatch is visible from underneath the structure. Your rafters have to be vertical and no more than 2' on center.

Domingo is the ideal thatch for covering old paneling, roof sheeting, or plywood surfaced roof structures.

To calculate square feet (surface area) of your project: Length x Width. Always add approximately 10% for over laps, cuts, etc.

Normal Shipping Time 3 - 7 Business Days.
